Today

SYLENG’s reach extends across the Caribbean, throughout CARICOM, into GUYANA and even into emerging markets in Africa.  We have grown from a small island consultancy into a trusted regional and international engineering partner and we have done so through our unwavering commitment to delivering quality work.

SYLENG’s story began in 1990 with incorporation in St. Vincent and the Grenadines when our work focused mainly in the field of telecommunications and data systems.  We were entrusted with major regional initiatives for organizations such as UN-ECLAC and the World Meteorological Organization, setting the foundation for a company built on credibility, technical depth, and a reputation for delivering to the highest professional standards.

As the region evolved, so did we.  With growth came new possibilities and the need to expand our capacity and presence.  Driven by our pursuit of excellence and a broader regional vision, we made the strategic decision to relocate our head office from St. Vincent to Trinidad and Tobago, with T&T being one of the Caribbean’s most active and diverse economic hubs.

Over the years, our capabilities broadened significantly.  We transitioned into the energy sector, taking on major assignments in the Point Lisas Industrial Estate, including projects in steel manufacturing, ammonia and methanol production, and bunkering infrastructure.  This period presented its own cycles of economic difficulty and industrial fluctuation, but through each phase, SYLENG stood firm; delivering consistent reliable engineering services that met and exceeded industry standards.

Our evolution continued as we expanded into offshore oil and gas, collaborating with international partners such as BG, BP, Atlantic LNG and others.  These opportunities not only strengthened our expertise but reinforced our belief that Caribbean partners can operate AND excel on a global platform.

Today, as the world shifts toward sustainability and renewable technologies, SYLENG continues to adapt and lead.  We are actively pursuing renewable energy ventures, including solar PV Systems, energy storage solutions, and advanced conservation designs.  For instance, our contributions to renewable energy projects in Mustique Island, Argyle International Airport, Piarco International Airport and most recently at Angostura’s Bitters Bottling Plant, stands as testimony to our forward thinking approach and our commitment to supporting a cleaner, more resilient energy future.

A major pillar of our success over the past 35 years has been our project execution strategy built on alliances with respected energy and engineering partners such as CLICO Energy, PROMAN/Ferrostaal and Alliance Engineering.  These partnerships have allowed us to confidently expand our scope, strengthen our technical capabilities and deliver impactful projects across borders with integrity and superior standards.
